Privacy Policy

ChopShift is a marketplace that connects barbers with salons for day-cover work and full-time roles. The service is operated by Onoir Studio, a company registered in Ireland. When this policy says "we", "us" or "ChopShift", we mean Onoir Studio.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• •Account information: your email address, password (stored hashed), role (barber or salon owner), display name and profile photo.
• •Profile content: anything you choose to add such as a bio, location, work area, qualifications and portfolio images.
• •Listings, applications and proposals: the content you post and the activity it generates.
• •Messages: the chats you send to other users on ChopShift.
• •Device tokens: a push-notification token from your device so we can send you alerts. You control which alerts you receive in Settings → Notifications.
• •Technical data: basic device and connection details required for the app to function and for fraud prevention.

We use your data to operate ChopShift: showing your listings to the right side of the marketplace, delivering chats and notifications, keeping accounts secure, preventing abuse, and improving the product.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers inside the app.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to deliver the service:

• •Supabase: our database, authentication and storage provider.
• •Expo: used to deliver push notifications to your device.

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual terms. We do not share your personal data with anyone else, except where required by law.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can:

• •Update your profile from Settings → Edit profile.
• •Manage what we contact you about from Settings → Notifications.
• •Request deletion from Settings → Privacy & security → Delete account. Your account is marked for deletion immediately and signed out; any remaining personal data is removed as part of our deletion process.

If you believe we are not handling your data properly you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

ChopShift is not intended for people under 16. If you are under 16, please do not create an account. If you believe a child is using the service, contact us and we will investigate.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app before they take effect.
